History of chemical weeding from 1944 to 2011 in France: Changes and evolution of herbicide molecules

International audience; Herbicide development in France has been analysed from a historical and agronomical perspective. A database was built up from data collected from the archives of the Ministry of Agriculture Food and Fisheries and from French phytosanitary compendia edited since 1961 by the Association de Coordination Technique Agricole. Only herbicides used in cultivated areas were retained. The first organic synthetic herbicides were registered on cereals after the Second World War. Since 1944, a total of 225 herbicidal active ingredients have been registered in France. Self-assembled cationic micelles are an attractive platform for binding biologically-relevant polyanions such as heparin. This has potential applications in coagulation control, where a synthetic heparin rescue agent could be a useful replacement for protamine, which is in current clinical use. However, micelles can have low stability in human serum and unacceptable toxicity profiles. NIR-absorbing transition metal complexes with redox-active ligands

Bench top stable transition metal (M = Co, Ni, Cu) complexes with a non-innocent ortho-aminophenol derivative were synthesized by the reaction of metal(II)acetates with a ligand precursor in 2:1 ratio. The solid-state structures reveal the formation of neutral molecular complexes with square planar coordination geometries. The Co(II) and Cu(II) complexes are paramagnetic, whereas the Ni complex is a diamagnetic square planar low-spin Ni(II) complex. All complexes, and Ni(II) complex in particular, show strong absorption in the near-IR region. Peer reviewed

This overcomes the traditional trade-off between comfort and handling, at the expense of increased complexity and electric consumption. This paper investigates utilizing the front-wheel differential drive-assisted steering (DDAS) to achieve the path-following control for independently actuated (IA) electric autonomous ground vehicles (AGVs), in the case of the complete failure of the active front-wheel steering system. Adjusted bat algorithm for tuning of support vector machine parameters

Support vector machines are powerful and often used technique of supervised learning applied to classification. Quality of the constructed classifier can be improved by appropriate selection of the learning parameters. These parameters are often tuned using grid search with relatively large step. This optimization process can be done computationally more efficiently and more precisely using stochastic search metaheuristics. Literature and experimental data relevant to waiver of in vivo bioequivalence (BE) testing for the approval of immediate-release solid oral dosage forms containing amoxicillin trihydrate are reviewed. Solubility and permeability characteristics according to the Biopharmaceutics Classification System (BCS), therapeutic uses, therapeutic index, excipient interactions, as well as dissolution and BE and bioavailability studies were taken into consideration.
